Grooved pavement markings are a growing trend in certain applications such as concrete bridge decks. A groove is cut in the pavement and the marking material is then placed in the groove. Typically, this material is a marking tape product, but other marking materials may be used. One of the main benefits of this process is to prevent damage to the pavement markings caused by snow plows. The groove is cut one inch wider than the marking width so it allows water from the groove to run away from the marking. We have invested in this very specialized equipment to give you the grooved option for any of your pavement markings.
