Pavement Marking Removal

Work Zones

When traffic patterns need adjustment for work zone management, Griffin Pavement Striping’s advanced fleet is outfitted with specialized removal equipment for every situation.  We offer removal of all types of markings on any pavement surfaces.  Our goal is to expedite any project by thoughtfully staffing each removal job to meet customer deadlines.  With multiple removal trucks available, we ensure traffic switches happen quickly, keeping your crews on schedule and your project moving forward efficiently.   Additionally, we are equipped to meet all our customers’ needs by providing our own traffic control, fresh water, spoils remediation, and work zone markings as a complete package.

Waterblasting

Waterblasting utilizes ultra high-pressure water (up to 40,000 PSI) combined with a vacuum recovery system to minimize damage to the road surface while capturing debris.  This is the preferred method in many states when resurfacing of the pavement is not in the project scope.  This environmentally friendly process is also ideal for cleaning surfaces, removing curing compounds, and even rubber removal from airport runways.

Grinding

Grinding is ideal for large-scale projects by lightly abrading the pavement surface.  Our high-speed grinding trucks can handle large quantities of removal in a single work shift, while vacuum systems collect debris, leaving the surface immediately ready for new marking application with minimal scarring.  Removal by grinding is ideal for micro-surfacing preparation and traffic shifts where the pavement surface will be overlaid.
